This was a real treat. Meeting "Pioneer Woman" Ree Drummond at her book signing December 3. Had to rush into Austin after work,scrubs and all. It was held at Book People an independantly owned bookstore in Austin. It's a wonderful place and was jam packed with people. Mostly women. I got to know a woman standing next to me who happened to be from Round Rock also. She kindly offered to take pictures and send them to me. Thank goodness since my lovely daughter has some how "lost" our camera.
Ree's husband "Marlboro Man" and her children were also there,along with her mother, sister and BIL. Having read her blog for the past 2 years I am familiar with her family and it was like meeting an old friend.
Girlfriend, I'm so happy you got to meet her! I love Ree!!
ReplyDeleteI had to work and couldn't take off when she was in Dallas, so I missed seeing her. I've read her blog since 2006 and feel like she's an old friend too!
I did send the cookbook to her to sign, she'd posted the address on her blog and offered to sign them....not the same as meeting her, but oh well!
how cool you got to meet PW, I missed seeing her in Houston when she was here as I had just had a baby!
